Our trail of discovery, as we walk west toward the visitor's entrance, has led us now to the Fort's Carpenter's Shop.  The Carpenter's shop like most of the buildings on this post, was of wood log or frame construction. The carpenter's shop probably also included a wheelwright, which was an important skill where numerous wagons rendezvoused.
